A linear guide is a straight guide equipped with rolling elements or plain bearings, manufactured and marketed by the linear technology industry. The design often used in such a machine element is the return of the rolling elements (ball recirculation).

Track roller guides made of steel and track roller guides made of steel and aluminum are particularly suitable for lower-level linear guides. The low friction and the high compensation for inaccuracies during assembly make them the optimal guides for machine doors, drawers and sliding windows.
